Mask Dimensions
When looking at the size, please remember that the only body part you need to fit inside the mask is the nose. Not the whole snout. When fitted, the mouth is closed and the black diaphragm is there to provide seal along the snout.
If you are not sure what size to choose please contact the office BEFORE placing the order.

Q: So what size mask will fit my dog?
A: IT DEPENDS
The only difference between the small and medium is the depth. So for smaller animals it depends on the length of your pet's snout
As a general rule, standard sized cats can use the Small and/or Medium mask.
Any Teacup sized dog, ferrets, bunnies, hamsters will do well using a SMALL mask
Small brachycephalic breeds such as standard sized Pugs, French bulldogs, Shih Tzus will do well using a SMALL mask
Longer snout small breeds such as dachshund, whippets, jack russells, boston terriers, Min Pins, Italian greyhounds, mini poodle, mini schnauzer, welsh corgis will do well using a MEDIUM mask
Mid sized and larger breeds like spaniels, larger whippets, basenjis, beagles, cocker spaniel, standard poodle, shiba inus, labs, german shepherds, pointers, etc will do need a LARGE mask
When your veterinarian prescribes the oxygen for you, make sure to ask they include the oxygen flow rate, for how long and how many times it is to be dispensed per day.
Your vet's Rx will supersede manufacturer recommendations when it comes to how much O2 is to be dispensed. You will need that information when contacting
oxygen providers to get the appropriate size tank and regulator (we do NOT provide tanks or regulators)
IF you have a mixed breed dog consider its overall size, weight and most importantly the length of its snout as it compares to the breeds mentioned here above.
IF your pet is over sized by breed or circumstance, please consider a size that will be most convenient for you to hold on to. The O2 flow rate can always be adjusted up or down.
IF you need to physically hold on to the mask for long periods of time, air on the side of a larger size for your convenience unless of course it gets in the way of the pet's comfort.
REMEMBER, ONLY THE SNOUT needs to fit in the mask. NOT the entire face ;-)
